The chapel is built into the side of a limestone cliff measuring 20 by 12 feet with walls constructed from limestone, and consists of two chambers, one in the front and one in the back. The majority of the chapel was built in the thirteenth century, although parts of it may date back further to the sixth century when Saint Govan, a monk moved into a cave located on the site of the chapel.The building was listed with Grade I status on August 2, 1996.https://shop.photo4me.com/828973/canvas

This magnificent medieval castle was built in the 13th century by the de Brian family, probable atop an earlier Norman castle. Dylan Thomas put pen to paper in the summer house within the castle grounds. it did not fare too well during the Civil War and was partly dismantled, Now managed by CADW. This is the commonest of Britain’s day-flying Burnet moths, and is found throughout Britain, It is commonly found in grasslands, woodland rides and sand dunes, where the caterpillars feed on Common Bird’s-foot Trefoil. Lighthouse at Burry Port, Carmarthenshire.
The Lighthouse was originally built in 1842. In 1996 the lighthouse was restored with support from Trinity House and Carmarthenshire County Council taking responsibility for maintenance.
