A view of Laugharne Castle from the estuary. This magnificent medieval castle was built in the 13th century by the de Brian family, probable atop an earlier Norman castle. Dylan Thomas put pen to paper in the summer house within the castle grounds. it did not fare too well during the Civil War and was partly dismantled, Now managed by CADW. Porth Wen Brickworks, Anglesey.
Porth Wen Brickworks is a disused Victorian brickworks which produced bricks made from quartzite (silica) which was used to line steel making furnaces. The brickworks is situated on the western side of Porth Wen on the north side of the island of Anglesey.

The Eye of the Painted Lady Butterfly.
The Painted lady butterfly is a regular visitor to gardens during April to October. it is a regular visitor but cannot survive the winter. The butterfly migrates from South Europe each spring.
