Herdwick Sheep.

Herdwick sheep are a breed of domestic sheep originating in the United Kingdom. They are native to the Lake District of Cumbria in North West England. The name of the breed is derived from the Old Norse herdvyck, which means sheep pasture. Herdwick have traditionally been bred in the fells and pastures of the Lake District in Cumbria but they are now seen in other parts of the United Kingdom. This pair were photographed on a farm in Carmarthenshire, Wales.
