The Town/Market Hall, which dates back to the 1750s, is the home of the Laugharne Corporation, a unique organisation founded by Charter circa 1290. The Corporation holds Court every fortnight, and the business is conducted by The Grand Jury under the control of the Portreeve. The Corporation is a charitable organisation.
