Photosharp Wales – Landscape and Macro

Church Rock is situated off Broadhaven Beach on the Pembrokeshire coast. The picture was taken just after a storm.

A close up of the eye of the Green-Veined Butterfly. The picture was taken in a garden in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire. The name of this butterfly comes from the lines of the scales under the hindwings and it is easy to recognise this butterfly when its wings are closed. Common in garden and other habitats April – October.

This derelict iron lighthouse is situated on Whiteford Sands, The Gower, Swansea. It is the last iron lighthouse in Europe.

The Peacock Butterfly is a common sight across the United Kingdom in gardens and in the countryside. This beautiful specimen was photographed in a garden in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, Wales.

These two rock pillars are known as Stack Rocks. The Stacks are situated near Castlemartin and form part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park.

Para Surfing at Newgale with blue sky beginning to peep through the sea mist. Strong winds and a rough sea make perfect conditions for this brave surfer.

This Norman castle was built by Gerald de Windsor in 1100. Over the centuries that have followed the structure has been modified, for example, Tudor windows. The castle sits on a limestone bluff over looking the Carew river inlet.
