Photosharp Wales – Landscape and Macro

Marloes Sands in Pembrokeshire, Wales offers a stunningly rugged and colourful landscape for nature lovers. The remote sandy beach is approximately 1.5 kilometres long, with broad curves and surrounded by cliffs. Walking on the beach provides great views of Skokholm Island and Gateholm Island, making it a perfect spot for photographers. As the sun sets, the beach transforms into a picturesque scenery with turquoise water, blue skies, and colourful clouds painting the sky.

Porthclais, a picturesque harbour and creek on the south coast of St Davids, was once a bustling trading port now popular with fishermen, small boat owners and tourists alike. The monochrome version of the picture captures a fishing boat moored in the harbour during low tide, creating a serene and tranquil scene against the backdrop of the Pembrokeshire coast.

St Davids Lifeboat Station (based in St Justinian, St Davids, Pembrokeshire, Wales) is a Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station. The first station here was opened in 1869 and to date has been involved in saving over 360 lives at sea in more than 420 launches. This station was superseded by a new one which was built about 50 metres away and was opened 2017. Selective colour.

In the distance is Newborough Beach a vast expanse of sand stretching from Llanddwyn Island to the Menai Strait. The stunning scenery in every direction is backed by Newborough pine forest and the vast sandy dunes of Newborough Warren. In the background is the Snowdonia mountain range.
