The Teal (Anas crecca) is the smallest duck in Britain and is also one of the most widespread. flocks of Teals are common in winter around estuaries, mudflats and inland wetlands. Magical Laugharne Castle.
This magnificent medieval castle was built in the 13th century by the de Brian family, probable atop an earlier Norman castle. Dylan Thomas put pen to paper in the summer house within the castle grounds. it did not fare too well during the Civil War and was partly dismantled. Now managed by CADW. The Water Wheel at Dyfi Furnace.
The Dyfi Furnace is in the village of Furnace, Ceredigion, Wales. The furnace built around 1755 was only used for about fifty years to smelt iron ore. By 1810 it had been abandoned and the waterwheel removed. Some time later a new waterwheel was installed – the one that has been renovated and is visible today – and the furnace became a sawmill. Dolgoch Falls in Autumn.
Dolgoch Falls are a series of three waterfalls near Tywyn in Gwynedd, Mid Wales. The falls are part of the Nant Dol-gôch stream, which flows into the Afon Fathew, and form a popular walk from the nearby Dolgoch station on the Talyllyn Railway.
