The Small White (Pieris napi) resembles Large White but is much smaller. The Small White, along with the Large White, can claim the title of “Cabbage White” that is the bane of gardeners all over the British Isles although the damage caused by this species is significantly less than that of the Large White. Porthgain (Welsh for fair/beautiful port) is a village in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in Wales, located between St David’s and Goodwick, and just north of Llanrhian. The village of Porthgain has a wealth of historical relics from its time as a prosperous industrial harbour in the early 1900s. At one time, the harbour exported slate from quarries a few miles south at Abereiddi, Trwynllwyd and Porthgain itself. The harbour, still home to local fishermen and is very busy in the summer.

The stunning winter sunset at Newgale Beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales is a sight to behold. The deserted road leading to the beach is surrounded by picturesque grassy fields and towering cliffs. The Duke of Edinburgh Inn adds a charming touch to the panorama on the far right. The signpost guides visitors to the beach, which is covered in glistening white sand and clear blue waters. The Lighthouse was originally built in 1842. In 1996 the lighthouse was restored with support from Trinity House and Carmarthenshire County Council taking responsibility for maintenance. The lighthouse is situated on the outer harbour at Burry Port. Selective colour.
